Dear members and friends,
Please see the attached flyer for details about our Beaujolais Nouveau event 2021.
Beaujolais Nouveau is the first wine of the year and was traditionally served to those who had helped with the harvest. The Gamay grapes that are used for this wine are hand-picked in the Beaujolais province of France. The wine is the result of a quick fermentation process, carbonic maceration, which preserves the fruity quality of the grapes while avoiding the tannins from the grape skins which can be bitter. The wine is best served chilled and meant to be drunk young.
Beaujolais Nouveau is always released on the third Thursday in November and is marked with music, fireworks and wine-tasting festivals. Under French law, the wine cannot be made available until this date.
So come and take part in this tradition, join us at JJ's Paris Bistro on Gate Parkway on the 18th of November starting at 5.00pm. You can order beaujolais nouveau, appetizers, and dinner, if desired. Please RSVP to nantes.committee@gmail.com. Please call or email with any questions.
A bientôt,
Sheila
